We can help you design every aspect of your home lighting to give your property the ‘wow factor’.

Working within the UK and internationally, we offer a lighting design service for single rooms right through to complete refurbishments or new builds. We focus on key areas including kitchen lighting, bedroom lighting, garden lighting, swimming pool lighting and basement lighting. The Lighting Design Studio also offer unique one-off designer light features or bespoke lighting products. Our lighting designers will give you the technical advice needed to create a balanced lighting scheme and highlight those important features, pieces of art, and artifacts.

In addition to ensuring the lighting in your home looks fantastic, we only use the most energy efficient lighting products, so our lighting designs will reduce your electricity bill by reducing the overall energy costs and CO2 output of your home. We Provide

Lighting Design Studio can provide you with the following services

The role of a lighting designer varies massively from each project but below is a typical approach for a lighting design.

1. Initial consultation – this would usually be done on site. If the project is London based we would usually offer this service free of charge. Our designers will assess and discuss each space, budgets and styles. We then come up with a client brief based on your needs.

2. Based on our initial discussions a fee would be agreed and a lighting concept plan would be produced. Typically this would include our own 3D visuals, mood boards, suggested fixtures and fitting. We would need architectural plans to do this. If these are not available we can do a site survey to produce detailed plans.

3. Once a concept has been agreed detailed lighting schematics would be produced which would include circuit methodology, detailed sections and cut through to enable construction with a circuit schedule and the lighting specification. This would enable the architect, electrician and builder to understand the construction requirements to implement the lighting plans.

4. Revisions of lighting plan are carried out after each review and amended dependent on the final architectural layout.

5. As part of the tender process we will provide a quotation for the supply of the lighting goods.

6. On site co-ordinate with the architect, interior designer, audio visual specialists, landscape gardeners and M&E contractors

7. Supply of the lighting equipment for the project

8. Setting out of lighting on site if necessary. Commission and aiming of light fittings and programming of lighting controls if necessary.
